One of The Few, Not One of The Billion

Artist: PINK FLOYD

Song: One of The Few

When you're one of the few to land on your feet

What do you do to make ends meet?

Make them mad, make them sad, make them add two and two

Make them me, make them you, make them do what you want them to

Make them laugh, make them cry, make them lay down and die

One of The Few

Not One of The Billion

At the end

One of The Few, Not One of The Billion

TIME

Artist: PINK FLOYD

Song: TIME

Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day

You fritter and waste the hours in an off hand way

Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town

Waiting for someone or something to show you the way

Tired of lying in the sunshine staying home to watch the rain

You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today

And then one day you find ten years have got behind you

No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun

And you run and you run to catch up with the sun,

but it's sinking

And racing around to come up behind you again

The sun is the same in the relative way, but you're older

Shorter of breath and one day closer to death

Every year is getting shorter, never seem to find the time

Plans that either come to naught

or half a page of scribbled lines

Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way

The time is gone the song is over

thought I'd something more to say.

Home, home again

I like to be here when I can

When I come home coldened and tired

It's good to warm my bones beside the fire

Far away across the field

The tolling of the iron bell

Calls the faithful to their knees

To hear the softly spoken magic spells.

Time is the precious thing that you can't buy. It's surely one of our physical dimension. 'Cause it is the time that determines your age and tells whether you are a new born baby or an old man. It's the dimension that just not passing you by but flying away. All you can do is just spending it in your way and can not stop it anyway.

Have you ever listened to your heart beat? Certainly it is a living clock or something that is beaten by the time together. When you are young, it beats faster than when you are old. So, you see that this clock gradually comes to its end point and reaches its twilight.

You are young and life is long and there is time for fun. Just have fun and nothing more!

Dream

Artist: PINK FLOYD

Song: JULIA DREAM

Sunlight bright upon my pillow

lighter than an eiderdown

wishing that the weeping-willow

winds its branches round

Julia dream

dream that queen

queen of all my dreams

Every night I turn the light out

waiting for the velvet bride

will the scaly armadillo

find me where I'm hiding

Julia dream

dream that queen

queen of all my dreams

Will the misty master break me

will the key unlock my mind

will the following footsteps catch me

am I really dying

I dream a lot. I like my dreams even my nightmares. I have high hopes, too. Why we all have high hopes? I think it is because we are ambitious and want to progress somehow. But, are all our wishes going to be true? Of course, not all of them but we keep on chasing them. Oh, at least I feel like this.

Are dreams reflection of our real life or our thoughts? Yes, maybe they are or not. In a better words, they are some reflection(s) of our disposed minds. Have you ever gone to bed and dreamt things that was in your mind before sleeping? Sometimes, I experienced such like this thing.

I like dreams. I am a great dreamer. only in dreams you can have your desired things that you can't get in reality. Every night I turn the light out, waiting for the velvet bride to come and join me in my bed. I will have Julia dream, dream that queen, queen of all my dreams.

Forever and ever, just I'll love to have Julia dream.

Welcome To The Machine

Artist: PINK FLOYD

Song: Welcome To The Machine

Welcome, my son, welcome to the machine

Where have you been ?

It's alright we know where have you been.

You've been in the pipeline, filling in time

Provided with toys and "Scouting for Boys"

You bought a guitar to punish your ma

And you didn't like school

And you know you're nobody's fool

So welcome to the machine

Welcome my son, welcome to the machine

What did you dream ?

It's alright we told you what to dream.

You dreamed of a big star

He played mean guitar

He always ate in the Steak Bar

He loved to drive in his Jaguar

So welcome to the Machine

Hello, how are you all? Can't stop rat-racing? Are you struggling yet, getting pie in the sky? You are doing it again and again! What exactly do you want out of this competition? Still can't feed your greedy desires! Can't get out of this damn loop, this routine! So, welcome buddy! Welcome to the machine!

Oh, this machine is eating you. This machine acts like a mathematic function. It has got some inputs and some outputs. What is the function it's doing over you and your life? I am sure you know it. So, do you know it or not? Well, if your answer is: "NO", then let's take a look? What are the benefits and losses of this man-made civilized modern world (even if you can call it fantastic, fiction, fake world)? I am sure it has lots of losses than benefits. But, how you can ask a blinded man this silly question? (A question about seeing something and his description about what he sees.) The whole mankind at this state of life is like this blind man that can't see things. Just He is able touch the things and feel in mind that, the thing is good; but is those goody good thing at all? I do not know. I am just asking you about it.

Look at what he has done to the globe. He is building skyscrapers reaching and going over the clouds in the sky. He flies with big giant airplanes through continents and countries. And so and so such like things.

This civilized big cities have got several things in it absorbing fools. Everything you need to do is to get in to this circle, to this loop and just obey and obey the rules. The rules like going schools, colleges, and universities and at the end working like a fool, working in this routine. Majority are doing it while I am watching this repeating function of this machine. I like to stand in the minority, even alone with no one against it. Certainly it's not easy swimming against the tide, but I'll like to try!

Yes, the mankind by himself has built this machine. This machine is consist of a big matrix. An N*N matrix with lots of dimension. It really looks like a big maze. Not a simple 2*2 maze that you can imagine it on the ground but an N*N maze. Why does man make things so complex and try to run away from the simple immaculate life? What is the benefits of this so-called technology that still some man starving to death. Does it need expansion or development for extinction? Yes, even if this man doesn't want this, but he has acted like this for centuries? I think at the end he is going to extinct his own species as he extinct many animal species and condemned their life to death before. Yes, he is going to kill himself by his own hands. He is like a blind man falling in a hole and struggles digging it over and over with the hope of getting out of it.

What did he dream? It's alright I tell you some parts of this dream. He dreamed of a big civilization with highways and skyscrapers in the sky. He dreamed of machines that do everything for him; but finally he made himself a slave for the machine or that system, not the machine a slave for his own. He is changing his role in this game gradually.

Everyone of us loves to drive in his own exotic convertible car with hundreds horse-powers using more and more gas. Some VIP go farther and traveling on their own private jets. Oh, what a sweet dream! What greedy bastards! Oh, we are using the sources of this world like viruses do the same.

So welcome, my son, welcome to the machine!

Does this make any sound?

Do you see the picture above? Does this make any sound? or in another word, what do you think it implies? Well, you may say it just three round circle somehow. Just something that doesn't worth or matter and it implies nothing? If you have thought about nearly these things in your mind, then you will be right exactly.

Let's say what it means. It is three circle, right. It is something somehow. It really tries to imply nothing. Really nothing, but is it something for nothing? Yeah, surely it is. It is "Something for Nothing". It implies the name of this blog that I write. Also, those three circles represent three O and that is exactly three O in the "Something for nothing".

At least there is a purpose for anything you see or for anything's existence. All of us (human beings) are created by the God. The God has created each of us for a reason or purpose. Everything in this universe is for something or it is going to do something in here. Maybe you have seen a lot of things and can't come up with their meanings, but those things have got meaning(s) surely. Just purposes and meanings are different but at the end there are purposes and meanings in everything.

Hold On To My Heart

Artist: W.A.S.P.

Song: Hold On To My Heart

There's a flame, flame in my heart

And there's no rain, can put it out

And there's a flame, it's burning in my heart

And there's no rain, ooh can put it out

So just hold me, hold me, hold me

Take away the pain, inside my soul

And I'm afraid, so all alone

Take away the pain, that's burning in my soul

Cause I'm afraid that I'll be all alone

So just hold me, hold me, hold me

Hold on to my heart, to my heart, to me

Hold on to my heart, to my heart, to me

And oh no, don't let me go cause all I am

You hold in your hands, and hold me

And I'll make it through the night

And I'll be alright, hold on, hold on to my heart

Music cultivates the brain. Your mind is like a wasteland or a desert without any green plant or tree in it. It is really full of nothing. Indeed Nothing! It is you that plant seeds in it. Some of those seeds grow and some not. It is you that can make it work. It is that can change a desert to the wood or a forest. It's your thoughts that can grow like tall trees reaching to the sky.

Somehow music is a good motivation. It is something that make your brain work better and even better make it create anything you desire. All kind of the music is good. You can even listen these rhythmic noises of the nature and feel like you are listening to a real orchestra playing live to audiences. Certainly, this is the best type of it if you can feel it.

Hold on. Hold on to my heart. There is a flame burning in my heart constantly. There is nothing like rain that can put it out. Do you know why? 'Cause it's always in a safe place, in my heart.

Take away the pain burning inside my soul. It's in my soul 'cause I'm afraid that I'll be all alone. So just hold on to my heart. I like to be alone not lone. I fear loneliness but like to be alone. This gives me more concentration to weaving my thoughts to the real words you've already read a bit or the whole.

Hold on to my heart. Hold on to my heart. Don't let me go. Don't let me out of your mind. Don't let me out of your heart. 'Cause all I am is in your holding. It's an invisible connection, link, and/or anything is between you and me (A reader and a writer).

Hold on. Hold on to my heart. I'll be alright till you holding on. Let me be. Let me be in you heart.

Thanks for just letting me be. Thanks

Seven Deadly Sins

I am not religious or church-educated guy but I believe in existence of seven deadly sins in human life. So, I go to Wikipedia and search for it. Of course, the sins are known and defined in religions different from each other but I think you can adapt their definition and belief of sins to these seven sins.

  • Lust
  • Gluttony
  • Greed
  • Sloth
  • Wrath
  • Envy/Jealousy
  • Pride

I want now mention some descriptions I've got from Wikipedia here at it follows:

Lust (excessive sexual appetites)

Lust is usually thought of as involving obsessive or excessive thoughts or desires of a sexual nature. Unfulfilled lusts can lead to sexual or sociological compulsions and/or transgressions including (but obviously not limited to) sexual addiction, adultery, bestiality, and rape.

Dante's criterion was "excessive love of others," which therefore rendered love and devotion to God as secondary. However, lust and love are two different things; while a genuine, selfless love can represent the highest degree of development and feeling of community with others in a human relationship, Lust can be described as the excessive desire for sexual release. The other person can be therefore seen as a "means to an end" for the fulfillment of the subject's desires, and becomes thus objectified in the process.

Gluttony (over-indulgence)

Modern views identify Gluttony with an overindulgence of food and drink, though in the past any form of thoughtless excess could fall within the definition of this sin. Marked by unreasonable or unnecessary excess of consumption, Gluttony could also include certain forms of destructive behavior, especially for sport, or for its own sake. Substance abuse or binge drinking can be seen as examples of gluttony therefore.

Greed (avarice)

Greed is, like Lust and Gluttony, a sin of excess. However, Greed (as seen by the Church) applied to the acquisition of wealth in particular. Thomas Aquinas wrote that Greed was "a sin against God, just as all mortal sins, in as much as man condemns things eternal for the sake of temporal things." "Avarice" is more of a blanket term that can describe many other examples of sinful behavior. These include disloyalty, deliberate betrayal, or treason, especially for personal gain, as the case when someone lets oneself be bribed. Scavenging and hoarding of materials or objects, theft and robbery, especially by means of violence, trickery, or manipulation of authority are all actions that may be inspired by greed. Such misdeeds can include Simony, where one profits from soliciting goods within the actual confines of a church.

Sloth (idleness)

More than other sins, the definition of Sloth has changed considerably since its original inclusion among The Seven Deadly Sins. It had been in the early years of Christianity characterized by what modern writers would now describe as apathy, depression, and joylessness — the latter being viewed as being a refusal to enjoy the goodness of God and the world He created. Originally, its place was fulfilled by two other aspects, Sloth and Sadness. The former described a spiritual apathy that affected the faithful by discouraging them from their religious work. Sadness described a feeling of dissatisfaction or discontent, which caused unhappiness with ones current situation. When St. Thomas Aquinas selected Sloth for his list, he described it as an "uneasiness of the mind," being a progenitor for lesser sins such as restlessness and instability. Dante refined this definition further, describing Sloth as being the "failure to love God with all one's heart, all one's mind and all one's soul." He also described it as the middle sin, and as such was the only sin characterized by an absence or insufficiency of love.

The modern view of the vice, as highlighted by its contrary virtue zeal/diligence, is that it represents the failure to utilize one's talents and gifts. For example, a student who does not work beyond what is required (and thus fails to achieve his or her full potential) would be slothful.

Current interpretations are therefore much less stringent and comprehensive than they were in medieval times, and portray Sloth as being more simply a sin of laziness, of an unwillingness to act, an unwillingness to care (rather than a failure to love God and His works). For this reason Sloth is now often seen as being considerably less serious than the other sins.

Wrath (anger)

Wrath may be described as inordinate and uncontrolled feelings of hatred and anger. These feelings can manifest as vehement denial of the truth, both to others and in the form of self-denial, impatience with the procedure of law, and the desire to seek revenge outside of the workings of the justice system (such as engaging in vigilantism), fanatical political beliefs, and generally wishing to do evil or harm to others. A modern definition would also include hatred and intolerance towards others for reasons of race or religion, leading to discrimination. The transgressions borne of Wrath are among the most serious, including murder, assault, discrimination, and in extreme cases, genocide. Wrath is the only sin not necessarily associated with selfishness or self interest (although one can of course be wrathful for selfish reasons, such as jealousy). Dante described Wrath as "love of justice perverted to revenge and spite".

Envy (jealousy)

Like Greed, Envy is characterized by an insatiable desire, they differ, however, for two main reasons: First, Greed is largely associated with material goods, whereas Envy may apply more generally. Second, those who commit the sin of Envy desire something that someone else has which they perceive themselves as lacking. Dante defined this as "love of one's own good perverted to a desire to deprive other men of theirs."

Pride (vanity)

In almost every list Pride is considered the original and most serious of The Seven Deadly Sins, and indeed the ultimate source from which the others arise. It is identified as a desire to be more important or attractive than others, failing to give compliments to others though they may be deserving of them, and excessive love of self (especially holding self out of proper position toward God). Dante's definition was "love of self perverted to hatred and contempt for one's neighbor." Pride is the deadliest of all the sins and can lead someone directly to the damnation of the famed person. In perhaps the most famous example, the story of Lucifer, Pride was what caused his Fall from Heaven, and his resultant transformation into Satan. Vanity and Narcissism are prime examples of this Sin.

Against these seven sins or vices we can have seven virtues. Trying to do these virtues surely helps to give up vices instead.

Vice

Virtue

Lust (excessive sexual appetites)

Chastity (purity of soul)

Gluttony (over-indulgence)

Temperance (self-restraint)

Greed (avarice)

Charity (giving)

Sloth (idleness)

Diligence (zeal/integrity)

Wrath (anger)

Forgiveness (composure)

Envy (jealousy)

Kindness (admiration)

Pride (vanity)

Humility (humbleness)

At the end I believe among these seven sins, "Pride" is the deadliest of all the sins and favorite sin of Satan.

Beware of "Vanity" and "Narcissism".

God forgive me

I know you are always watching me. Watching I really felt in love. Oh how deep I've gone! You watch my heart is broken. You gave me things, maybe not much things; but, don't take them from me. I can't bear this misery anymore. You gave me pride, but just watch when it was treaded under feet. Oh, why are you testing me over and over.

There are lots of different religions in this world but I can't find any purpose for them. Oh, why oh why? Because, how you can trust a preacher that is a big sinner and just preach for getting money or have his own place in the society. That is the thing making hesitation in what these religion are all about. Why do you let them to use your given religions as a tool for deceiving and fooling public.

Am I an atheist talking like this with you? Am I a satanic follower, walking in the wrong path? But I love to talk to you 'cause it's only you that can save me in this situation I am now in. Why are all people doing like this? They pretend praying you, loving you but in real they are far away from you. So, who am I to judge them 'cause sometimes before I was one of them.

Is the key of blissfulness, heaven in your hand? I see me in a long big corridor with a lots of doors in it. But why are all locked for me? Is it that I am an old sinner, doing sins again and again, times and times. Why am I like this? I know what's right or wrong, but why am I going the wrong way? Is it my desire leading me to it? Is it I am too poor? Is it that I am far away from you?

I remember the times you have helped me from the death. Why didn't you help me though? I think you always love me and that's why I'm still alive. I really believe in you and your existence. What have I done before that you don't open a door for me to feel happy and bliss. Really, what have I done? Oh my God, I am your thing and just in love with you.

Oh, please, please, my God forgive me. Help me God.

Fake World

It seems we've got more unemployment people everywhere. All education systems sucks! Oh why? They educate us for the life or for making us a good tax payer, a fool that obeys their rules of the game. Ok, so let's see what's coming out of this factory? People with suits rushing street, making traffic by driving their car to the work, and also forgetting that they are a human, not a zombie or machine with certain daily routine operation has to do.

I was crossing the street. A young boy gave me an advertisement paper. A paper full of fake things and really bogus pretending. I was seeing big advertising billboards advertising fake things. Even shops writing lying stuff on their windows to absorb more clients. I'm sure you've never watched a program on TV without an advertisement in the begging, in between, or at the ending of it. In the Internet it is more worst. When you search with Google or any search engine they are showing you results in a way that leads you to something with advertising intention. Even the news are going to be fake and made before its happening. Hey what a crazy wild, wild world is this fake world!!?

Hey, what's up? Where are we going? Are we making a robot out of ourselves? Are we sentencing creativity, genius, and masterpiece work of arts to death?

Why are they calling these bullshit noises, the music and making them, the best selling with just propaganda and ads? Why we haven't even time for thinking in buying things and obey the day-to-day fashion?

Anyway, I like this fake, ad world? You know, Why? Because billion times when I watch, read, look, listen, and ... in everything they are guiding me to this fake advertising world. It seems they are torturing my eyes, ears, mind, and feelings to choose what they want to. Are they doing this job perfectly? Yeah, certainly they do.

Come Into My World

Artist: Kylie Minogue

Song: Come Into My World

Come, come, come into my world

Won't you lift me up, up, high upon your love

Take these arms that were made for lovin'

And this heart that will beat for two

Take these eyes that were meant for watching over you

And I've been such a long time waiting

For someone I call call my own

I've been chasing the life I'm dreaming

Now I'm home

I need your love

Like night needs morning

Come, come, come into my world

Won't you lift me up, up, high upon your love

Na na na na

Take these lips that were made for kissing

And this heart that will see you through

And these hands that were made to touch and

feel you

So free your love

Hear me I'm calling

Oh won't you

Come, come, come into my world

Won't you lift me up, up, high upon your love

I need your love

Like night needs morning

Oh won't you

Come, come, come into my world

Won't you lift me up, up, high upon your love

I love this song named "Come Into My World" and sang by "Kylie Minogue".

I listen to it when I feel in love. I've got this nice feeling but still haven't found anyone for the true real loving. Anyway, such a silly pretty guy like me don't need a real one to feel such a thing. I am a fool. Really, a John-a-dreamer, someone that lives in his imaginations and that's enough for this poor guy here.

So, come on! Come on to my world! I need your love like night needs morning. Take my arms that were made for lovin' and this heart that will beat for two. (but don't mind if it beat for one and that's for just me.) :-)

Take my eyes that were meant for watching over you. I've been such a long time waiting for someone I call, call by her own lovely name. I've been chasing the life I'm dreaming and never give up till catch it.

Take my lips that were made for kissing and my heart that will see you through and my hands that were made to touch and feel you.

Thanks Mr. God for giving me such like this feeling. Thanks God! I feel like flying in the sky like a bird now 'cause I feel love and ... .

Don't forget to come into my world. But before coming let me know about it. :-)

Spring Time

It is the beauties of spring that makes it a lovely season of the year. The nature is the most beautiful in this time than other seasons. Plants such as trees and flowers begin to grow and their nice greenish colors can be seen anywhere. The small blossoms of them looks like the small bulbs of celebration days. When the sounds of flowing rivulets mix with the sounds of singing birds, it is like that the spring is singing the nature song. The new azure color of the sky despite its faded color in winter, looks like a new painted room while the sun looks like a light hanging from the ceiling of that room. Also, people are very happy in this season and this is the most beautiful thing.

Rain

It's a nice day and especially when it's raining. The rain that washes away the pain and sorrow(s). Somebody believes that if you walk under the raining weather, it will washes your sins, too. Really, I admire this belief.

Walking under rain and thinking about the things you've done. Walking a long path without any intention and without any destination. Breathing in fresh air and smelling the sweet rain droplets touching and falling over your face. Oh, that's such a feeling I can't find any replacement for. Walking whole way while those in cars pass you by proudly and make your whole clothing wet. Oh, I don't want to be like them 'cause everyone can be like them and act that sort of thing.

Really, rain is nice. The whole streets and building are washed by it. There's also moments that you will be away from the damn pollution and breathe fresh air and feel the real nature.

Rain, may it be a gift from the holy God. May it be the love that we are missing now and then. May it be the sign of growth and makes the green greener than it used to be. Maybe it be the thing that washed your vices away.

After the raining is much better. Sometimes when it's day you can see a rainbow in the blue sky. A rainbow that is the nature's prism of light. Such a nice real painting that you can see and enjoy.

Rain, sweet rain that washes my whole pain.

There must be something!!?

Have you ever thought of why are you here in this world? Why have you been created? Does this life is like a game? A game with losers and winners? Who does make this wheel turning round and round again and again? Of course, we can't answer such like these questions easily?

Think of life as a game is so interesting. Why a game is it anyway? A game with repetition as you see history repeat itself over and over. Who does like this and enjoy from it? I don't know but surely this have a creator, a God. The God that control everything.

There must be something in this world that we are here to do it; but, what's that? What's that, really?

Remember there must be something!!?

The Business of Innovation

The Business of Innovation

I saw a good program at CNBC channel with this name. It is taking much of my attention and what is on my mind these day. Here are some points and quotes I've been taking from that as you see in the following:

Welcome to the business of innovation or the concept of innovation.

What is the innovation? It is a breakthrough, a new idea, something never seen before. What kind of person become an innovator? Innovators are not just innovating products. They are innovating every aspects of their life. That sounds they are like iconoclast, Like someone who breaks the rules.

I think everybody can be an iconoclast. The little kids play and do whatever they want to do till someone teach them the rules. The rules are part of the game. But how you can make a young person to return to those little kid free-mind thing.

You choose to be an innovator or otherwise to be in the sidelines.

Are you built for failure. Failure is the key. You have to fail and fail again. We think the brilliant invention of the world is by the people who have just one invention all at once. It's wrong. Of course not. They have a lot of inventions. The %99 percent of their inventions sucked.

It's always must be willingness to fail. That's the key issue. If you are afraid of failure, then how you can have crazy idea and come up with a new way to change things.

You want to be original innovator, embrace failure. Is it (the failure) the thing that most companies try to avoid. I think the companies hate innovators. Innovation is all about taking risks. Companies hate risks too. You see most companies employ those who are graduated from a good university with top scores. But those people are just good at there and nothing more.

Our schools produce people who are good at the multiple choices test. Is that how you are creating innovation? Is that on the test? It's not there. Innovation is original thought. That why most inventors in the history even thrown away from the ordinary schools and thought to be idiots at their childhood.

But how long a company stand for the failure?

What makes you special?

Maybe I am seeing what other people can't see. Maybe I can't see what others are seeing. But only whose discover this thing or the unique idea in himself or herself can participate in this game called innovation. It is managing between tensions and executing it on reality. Getting thing done and exploring possibilities to do thing in real situation.

An innovator is going to be a money maker. A great innovation can make some a great money.

Do you have to be an innovator to be a businessman or a businessman to be an innovator? I think if you have to be innovator you have to not think about what makes money next week. You can make money in twenty years gradually. Even sometimes you have to lose some money in way of achieving this. You have not to think about if I lose money, I'll get fired and be in trouble.

Sometime, having fun makes your mind work better and of course, at that state you can innovate. But, I think you have to be enough rich that helps you with this.

Innovate or Die

Change is coming. It always coming; but, now more than ever before. A flood in the market can impact business across the globe. It really is innovate or die?

A wheel was invented many year ago, but, you can make a new kind of a wheel though. Sometimes, you can other invention and other's experiences , too. Sometimes, you just can change old inventions. And this new change you are making to it 'causes it to be your invention. Reinventing invention can be your innovation.

Innovation is fundamentally about freedom and trust. It is what you can unleash. Innovation can shape the future of an industry.
